Server Rules
Welcome to Nightwaves Nation, a content-driven Rust community built for creators, new players, veterans, and anyone looking for a fun, fair, and entertaining experience. Our server is designed to create memorable moments through gameplay, community interaction, and immersive RP while giving players a place to learn, grow, and enjoy Rust without the usual chaos found elsewhere.
Many members of this community will be brand new to Rust, so we aim to provide a welcoming environment where newer players can learn the game, ask questions, and improve without constant toxicity or unfair treatment. At the same time, experienced players can still enjoy competition, raiding, PvP, and roleplay in a balanced setting.
A large number of players here will also be streaming on platforms like Twitch and other content platforms, so keeping the server stream-safe is a top priority. That means no meta gaming, no stream sniping, no harassment, and no behavior that could violate platform Terms of Service.
Whether you're here to create content, build a community, roleplay, dominate, or simply learn the game for the first time, respect for others and fair play come first.
Please review the rules below carefully. By playing in Nightwaves Nation, you agree to follow them and help keep the server welcoming, competitive, entertaining, and fair for everyone.
Cheating / Exploits
- Wall hacks / ESP / Radar tools
- Aimbot, triggerbot, recoil scripts, macros, no-recoil tools
- Teleportation, speed hacks, fly hacks, noclip
- Spawning in items, duplicated items, unauthorized kits/resources
- Modified game files or clients that provide an unfair advantage
- Stream sniping with external info tools or coordinate sharing software
- Account sharing to evade punishment
- Bug abuse / exploiting glitches for unintended advantages

Rule of thumb: If it gives you an advantage that normal players don't have, don't use it.

Nightwaves Nation is a content-first server. If your behavior is clearly intended to disrupt streams, ruin RP scenarios, or damage the overall community experience, staff reserve the right to remove you from the server immediately.
No Meta Gaming
Do not use outside or out-of-game information to gain an in-game advantage. This includes using Discord callouts, stream chat intel, screenshots, clips, maps, or any information your character would not realistically know through normal gameplay or RP interactions.
Using Discord for communication with teammates is allowed; however, using information found in Discord about other players, their plans, locations, or activities to gain an advantage is strictly prohibited.
Respect RP / Content Scenarios
If players are actively engaged in RP or creating content, do not intentionally derail, troll, or ruin the experience without in-character reason.
No Excessive Toxicity
Trash talk happens, but repeated harassment, personal attacks, nonstop baiting, or making the server miserable for others is not allowed.
No Griefing Spawn / Beginner Areas
Do not camp beaches, starter zones, or repeatedly target obvious new players who are trying to learn.
Keep Voice / Chat Stream Safe
No screaming slurs, ear-rape mic spam, TOS baiting, loud soundboards, or behavior meant to get creators in trouble while live.
No Spam
No chat spam, mic spam, repeated advertisements, or flooding global chat.
Use Common Sense
Not every disruptive behavior can be listed. If you are clearly trying to ruin the experience for others, staff may intervene.
Raiding is a core part of Rust, but on Nightwaves Nation it should create action, rivalry, and content — not drive players offline or wipe out progress unfairly. We prioritize fair fights, memorable moments, and online interactions over empty offline raids.
No Offline Raiding
Do not raid bases when all primary members are offline. Raiding is intended for online interaction and defense opportunities.
Raiding Days Only
Explosives, breaching, raid bases, grief raids, and intentional base destruction may only occur on approved raiding days.
No Prep Damage on Off Days
Do not damage, weaken, or prepare another player's base on designated off days. This includes soft-siding walls, draining turrets, ladder probing, griefing entrances, breaking externals, or any action intended to make a future raid easier.
You may build or position a raid base in advance, but you may not cause any damage or interfere with the target base until raiding is permitted.
Counter Raiding Allowed
If an active raid is happening on an approved day, counter raiding and third-party PvP are allowed.
No Sealing a Base on Off Days
Do not return on Monday or Tuesday to grief, wall in, trap, seal doors, or finish damage from a previous raid.
No Excessive Griefing
After a successful raid, do not unnecessarily destroy every deployable or make the base permanently unusable solely to force players to quit.
No Exploit Raiding
No glitching through walls, terrain exploits, building bugs, pixel gaps, or any unintended mechanic to gain access.
Respect New Players
Do not repeatedly target obvious starter or beginner bases with no meaningful loot or PvP value.
Defenders May Rebuild
If defenders survive an online raid, they may repair and rebuild during or after the fight as normal.
